Elephant Seals in the Far South of Chile
Elephant seals are great divers: they can dive as deep as 6,560 feet (2,000 meters) Each time the seals surface, the device connects with the satellite, the data they’ve collected is triangulated, and the scientists can review it on a web page. Students at Douglas S. Freeman High School may be the first to grow oyster mushrooms in moon dirt for NASA’s international Plant the Moon Challenge.
