Dignity Health and Aetna Reach New Deal
Dignity Health and Aetna have reached an agreement on a new multi-year contract. The new agreement is effective April 1 and healthcare services received by Aethna members since then will be covered at their in-network benefit levels. In relation to the association between CVR and HRQL in our study, it was notable that the non-exacerbator patients with a high CVR were those with worse HQL. This finding has not previously been reported. In this study, the SF-36 variables related to physical aspects (pain, physical functioning and general health perception) were the most affected in the phenotype.

Primary Care Physicians in Rural Areas
Rural communities tend to depend more on primary care clinicians, Dr. Yalda Jabbarpour said. In 2021, 37% of all physicians in training (residents) began training in primary care, but only 15% of all physician were practicing primary care three to five years after residency. The study also found that there is a slightly higher density of primary care providers in rural and underserved areas.
