In relation to the association between CVR and HRQL in our study, it was notable that the non-exacerbator patients with a high CVR were those with worse HQL. This finding has not previously been reported. In this study, the SF-36 variables related to physical aspects (pain, physical functioning and general health perception) were the most affected in the phenotype.
