The 2019 Basketball Africa League (BAL) Season Preview
The Basketball Africa League (BAL) announced the 47 players from 10 countries across Africa, Europe and the U.S. who will compete in the inaugural Kalahari Conference group phase. The fourth BAL season will feature the top 12 club teams from 12 African countries playing a record 48 games in Pretoria; Cairo, Egypt; Dakar, Senegal; and Kigali, Rwanda, marking the first BAL games in South Africa.

Arkansas ReLeaf Tree Giveaway
Arkansas ReLeaf will host a free tree giveaway on Friday, March 15 at the Burns Park Hospitality House at 402 W. Military Drive in North Little Rock. It's almost been officially one year since an EF-3 tornado devastated parts of central Arkansas on March 31, 2023. Crews will be giving out up to five bare-root seedling trees and one potted tree per person while supplies last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A bald eagle nest in Toronto has birdwatchers and conservationists excited about what it means for the region's biodiversity. The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) confirmed in an email to CBC Toronto that this is the first ever documented bald nest in Ontario. In the 1960s, only a few hundred nesting pairs remained, according to the Canadian Paediatric Society.

The Champlain Towers South Condominium Collapse
Investigators have identified hundreds of possible points of failure in the building, eventually narrowing down about two dozen hypotheses of what could have triggered the collapse.
