Yvette Fontaine Fontaine was a trailblazer for female racers in the 1970s. Her career included sportscars, touring cars, stage rallies and rally raids. She was also a runner-up for the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission. She had been active for over 20 years when she started the Indianapolis 500.
