Hungarian to Orbit (HUNOR) Program - The Ministerial Commissioner for Space Research
Hungary has signed a framework agreement with the European Space Agency (ESA) on cooperation in the national space research program. With the agreement, ESA will provide support not only for the training of astronauts, but also for the implementation of activities at the ground control center. This is a unique opportunity because Hungary is the first of the 22 Member States to have a National Space Research program as an official partner of the ESA.

CBI's Yvonne "Missy" Woods Manipulated or Omitted DNA Test Results
CBI released the findings of the investigation into Yvonne "Missy' Woods on Friday, which concluded Woods' handling of DNA testing data affected 652 cases between 2008 and 2023. A review of her work from 1994 to 2008 is also underway, according to the CBI. The CBI internal investigation, which was conducted in collaboration with the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, did not find Woods falsified DNA matches or fabricated data.

Stain-Fighting Experiment at Weston Elementary School
Preschool students at Weston Elementary School recently learned how to get rid of all sorts of nasty stains on clothing thanks to a class science project. Each student had a white washcloth with three stains: vegetable oil, ketchup and wet coffee grounds. Students discussed their guesses about which stain would be easiest to remove.

New Stem Cells Help Resurrect the Wooly Mammoth
Colossal Biosciences, the company working on project, said in 2023 that they hope to resurrect the wooly mammoth within four years. Now, the team has created important stem cells that are currently considered vital for the plan to work. These newly created stem cells come from Asian elephant cells, which can develop into any type of tissue. The idea is that scientists fuse an edited stem cell to an Asian elephant egg, that egg would then be implanted in a surrogate.
