Learning Outcomes of Health Promotion in Children
The literature search generated a total of 9,302 references out of which 26 publications were eligible for inclusion. In spite of the search including specific contexts, we had to exclude some publications based on domains and settings which did not match the health promotion context. The focus of this scoping review is on how dimensions of general HL within health promotion in children are described. A review of the related HL constructs focused on specific areas will be described elsewhere.

Institute of Health Visiting (iHV) held its first SEND Health Conference today (14 March) in Hertfordshire. Nikki Freeman and Kirsty Jacques spoke about work they had done in their county to improve SEND provision. The two specialist public health nurses pushed for the creation of a specific SEND pathway.

The Importance of OBGYNs in Maternal Care
A federal study from 2016 predicted a national shortage of nearly 5,000 providers by 2025. Given the challenges of long standing financial difficulties, a lack of incoming OBGYNs could be the final straw for some maternal care units. In the 15 months since Idaho has put some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation into effect, the state has lost 22% of its practicing obstetricians.

South Holland District Council received £20 million of investment for the existing Castle Sports Centre site in Spalding. The plans include the creation of a new swimming facility as an extension to the existing ‘dry side’ building.
