NYC Health + Hospitals celebrates 1.2 million plant-based meals served since the program began in March 2022. In 2023, the first full calendar year of the program, NYC Health+ Hospitals served over 783,000 plant based meals to its patients. New recipes are piloted as a Chef’s Recommendation and only enter the menu rotation if they achieve an 80% patient satisfaction rate or above.

City of Marshfield and Marshfield Clinic Health System have resolved their differences regarding the City’s tax assessment of 1000 and 1001 North Oak Avenue. The parties arrived at an agreement whereby the properties are deemed to be partially exempt, and the assessment structure fully addresses and resolves the tax payments for tax years 2020 – 2028.

Senators Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) and John Barrasso (R-WY) introduced the ACO Assignment Improvement Act. The legislation would expand Medicare Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) to include nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and clinical nurse specialists. “No matter where you live, you ought to be able to go to a health care provider,” said Kilmer. In Rhode Island, ACOs care for roughly 41,000 patients.
