There was a total of 215 incidents of road rage involving guns in Houston from 2014-23, with 207 people being shot during those incidents, according to a recent analysis of a decade's worth of data. The Trace, a nonprofit news outlet dedicated to covering gun violence, used data from the Gun Violence Archive. Since 2021, it has been legal for most 21-and-older adults in Texas to carry a gun in public without a license.
