Tech stocks in the US rallied, lifting the Nasdaq 100 nearly 1%. The S&P 500 technology index closed up 0.5%. Apple shares jumped 4.4% as Bloomberg News reported Apple Inc. is in talks to build Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence engine into the iPhone. Nvidia shares rose 0.7% and closed well below its session high.
