New Zealand Farmers Are Not The Only Ones Facing GE Regulations

Australian cotton growers developed Bt cotton, a genetically modified cotton plant. This plant enables the plant to produce the “Bt” protein, capable of killing the cotton bollworm. The legislation was last reviewed in 2018. The review will mean revamped regulations will better cater for vaccination platforms, genomic editing and clinical trials.
