An additional annual budget of P60 billion ($1.1 billion) is proposed for the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to focus on tower leasing, last-mile facility construction and upgrade of existing telecom infrastructure. This funding aims to extend internet connectivity to 125,000 public facilities over four years, including schools, hospitals, and health centers.
