The Ritter Group of the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung in Mülheim/Ruhr has published a paper, titled "Nitrate reduction enables safer aryldiazonium chemistry,'. In the history of the chemical industry there have been repeated accidents, sometimes fatal, often caused by dangerous and explosive chemicals that are required for certain reactions. The synthesis route is also exciting scientifically because new chemical approaches can now be pursued.
