The @NatlParkService and @USFWS have announced a decision to actively restore grizzly bears to the North Cascades, where they roamed until nearly hunted to extinction in the area during the 20th century. In the last several decades, large forest fires have increasingly threatened communities across the Mediterranean. It is no secret that female scientists, especially those from historically under-represented backgrounds, are the most susceptible to fieldwork exclusion or harassment.
