STEWARD HEALTH CARE's financial spiral is giving Julie Pinkham a bad case of déjà vu. Pinkham worries that the state may be in the same position that let Steward get a foothold at the core of the state’s health care system more than a decade ago. In need of additional money to expand, Steward entered into an agreement with Medical Properties Trust, an Alabama-based real estate investment group.
