“My Dead Friend Zoe” is a dark comedy following the story of a female Afghanistan Army veteran and her relationship with her dead best friend from the Army. The film stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Natalie Morales, and Morgan Freeman, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Gloria Reuben. Hausmann-Stokes served five years in the U.S. Army and received a Bronze Star in Iraq.
