Holly Kapherr Alejos’ story about Orlando natives sparked so many memories for me. My parents moved to Orlando in 1966, escaping Michigan’s cold winters, to pursue their dream of starting a business in the Sunshine State. After my brother came along in ’69, we moved into our first house in the Catalina neighborhood, eventually finding our way to Windermere in 1974.
