The Black Hole: A New Way of Understanding the Universe
The E.H.T. is a network of initially eight and now eleven, spread across the planet. In 2015, scientists at LIGO gathered data on a distant black hole. It was estimated that it’s now 13.8 billion years old. But the popular understanding of black holes, though not precise, has the accuracy.

iSeahorse Science Project Boosts Research on Sea Horses
Citizen contributions provided new information on 10 of 17 sea horse species. Some of the observations helped scientists better understand when and how sea horses breed. Founded in 2013, the iSeahorse project asks the public to record sea horse sightings and observe the animals’ behavior.

NASA's Curiosity Rover - Mars' Water Areas and Habitable Past
Curiosity rover has arrived at a winding, snake-like feature called the Gediz Vallis channel that may have been carved by an ancient river billions of years ago. The steep sides of the channel suggest it was not created by wind erosion alone. Scientists think boulders and debris filling Mars's upper regions may be preceded by a wet, potentially habitable environment.
