LabGenie - A New Tool to Improve Patient Engagement
“LabGenie” will use artificial intelligence to provide contextualized information about lab test results and to generate questions patients can use to discuss their results with their doctors. The project, funded by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), is a multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional collaboration that aims to improve patients’ ability to understand their test results.

Intuit Inc. released a new report, “The Science of Loyalty,” focused on the drivers behind consumer behavior and tangible insights that marketers can take to build loyalty. The report includes findings from a survey of 4,000 consumers across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia – with 1,000 participants per market – and qualitative interviews with eight global marketing experts. Approximately 70% of consumers emphasize that it’s important for them to buy from the right brand.

ReScape: Transforming Coral-Reefscape Images for Quantitative Analysis
ReScape removes the perspective distortion from reefscape images by transforming them into top-down views, thus making all corals the correct size for analysis of reef conditions. The algorithm was developed by a Florida Tech graduate student at Florida Tech. It allows scientists to begin extracting ecological data from coral-reefscape images.

Ancient Humans in Architectural Tile
Scientists are now working with the dentist to make sure the tile is properly studied. Advertisement The tile, made of a type of limestone called travertine, was imported from a quarry in Turkey.
