The EUCAIF Conference - How to Organize Future Research Activities in Fundamental Physics With AI
From April 30 to May 3 more than 300 researchers in fundamental physics will gather in Amsterdam for the first edition of the EUCAIF conference. Our group, led by Sascha Caron and Christoph Weniger, sees the participation of several leading scientists who operate in the fields of theoretical physics, experimental physics at particle colliders, gravitational wave detectors, nuclear and neutrino physics.

Understanding the Complexity of Snow

The Mario Markus Prize for Ludic Science
The German Chemical Society has put out a call for nominations for the Mario Markus Prize for Ludic Science. The prize comes with a €10,000 (a little more than $10,000) purse. Markus is a retired biophysics professor from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology.

Bowling Green to Participate in the City Nature Challenge
Over 700 cities across the globe will take part in the annual City Nature Challenge. For the first time, Bowling Green will include itself in the challenge, brought to the community by Wild Ones Southern Kentucky and Lost River Cave. Through the app, users can submit a photo of any plant, animal, or fungi species as well as signs of animals nearby, including tracks and scat.

Curiosity Drives a Little Over 16 m
We do this activity every few hundred meters to track damage to Curiosity's wheels caused by the terrain. It's important for us to take this observation in order to estimate how much farther the rover will be able to drive before the wheels become inoperable.

Mastcam Observations on the Samson's Ribs
Planned science observations include APXS and MAHLI on "Kemnay' on the crest of the ripple. RAD and REMS will take data. Mastcam will make a series of 10 change-detection observations periodically throughout both sols.
