The Best Places to Stargaze Near the Path of Totality on April 8
On April 8, those within the 115-mile-wide path of totality will be hoping for clear skies. The only time it's safe to remove solar eclipse glasses and the only time the sun's spectacular corona can be seen with the naked eye. There's still a 1-in-3 chance of having some kind of cloud cover," Jay Anderson, a Canadian meteorologist.

Citizen Scientists and AI Discover 430,000 Ring Galaxies
The massive haul includes 30,000 ring galaxies, which are considered to be the rarest of all possible galaxy shapes. They were delivered by 10,000 volunteers who scoured through data collected with the Subaru Telescope. This telescope collects a ton of incredible data so that astronomers struggle to sift through it all.

Casey Honniball Interview
Casey Honniball is a lunar scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. He conducts lunar observations and field work near volcanoes to investigate how astronauts can utilize instruments during moonwalks. I study the Moon using Earth-based telescopes to understand the lunar volatile cycle. In 2020, I became a post-doctoral fellow for Kelsey Young.

A Zoomed-In View of Quasars
The map is made up of 1.3 million quasars, which are cores of active galaxies powered by supermassive black holes and some of the brightest cosmic objects in existence.
