What Is a Solar Eclipse?
Temple’s College of Science and Technology will host its own viewing party at Beury Beach. This April’s eclipse marks the last significant eclipse we can view from Philadelphia for some time. There is a myth that it is more dangerous to look at the sun during an eclipse, but it is equally dangerous.

Maine Science Festival
The Maine Discovery Museum will be a busy place over the next five days for the 9th edition of the Maine Science Festival. More than 70 events will spread across those days starting with an adult-focus programming on Wednesday afternoon. Programming coordinator Kim Stewart says the growth of the festival over the years has resulted in them having to extend the event.

A History of the Academy’s Website
The Academy joined the digital age when its first website launched in 1996. At that time, the Academy was based out of its facility on New York’s Upper East Side.
