Minnesota Infant Immunization Week
Minnesota has seen at least 125 cases this year among children 6 years old and younger who were unvaccinated. About a third of Minnesotans younger than 2 years are not up to date on their recommended vaccines, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. The decline is happening as serious illnesses circulate, which leaves infants vulnerable.

The Crisis Co Response Team brings mental health professionals and law enforcement together to connect them with resources. They’ve helped over 500 people in the last 3 years, with nearly 170 people this year. According to Rosecrance, 85 percent of those contacted by the response team sought help.

Washington County's "Rapid Fitness" Program Improves Oregon's Mental Health System
The county conducted 100 "rapid fitness evaluations' in 2023 — mental health evaluations for defendants in jail that took weeks, rather than months. The program is intended to arrange quicker mental health assessments for jailed defendants. Under Oregon's statewide system, a mental fitness examination can take months — roughly 62 days on average — which can be harmful to defendants and delay the judicial process.
