Street Providence Gets Around 80 Inmates at the DHS
NGO 'Street Providence' got around 80 of its inmates at the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) on Monday. The inmates were kept outside the DHS building for over an hour as the NGO’s Chairman Donald Fernandes demanded that the director come and meet them.

NABARD Loan - Rs 16 Crore for New Schemes
The amount has been released as loan component under NABARD. Officials of the health department said the funds will be utilized for new schemes sanctioned/ approved. The schemes are funded under the UT Share and not supported by any other financial sources.

AYUSH Health Care - The State and Union Territories will be able to extend Quality AYUSH Health Care Services
The Union Ministry of Health released Monday the norms AYUSH healthcare centres in the country will have to follow in terms of infrastructure, human resource, and availability of medicine. By adopting the ‘Indian Public Health Standards for AY USH’ the states and Union Territories will be able to extend quality AYusH health care services, the Government said.

Maine Mental Health and Crisis Response - New Gun Safety Measures
House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross, D-Portland, proposed $17.5 million plan to expand Maine’s mental health and crisis response services. It would create at least six additional mental health crisis receiving centers across the state, expand access to medication management services and create a violence prevention office. Advocates stressed that people who experience mental health issues or disabilities are more likely to be the victims of violence that perpetrators.

Senate Health Committee Advances Bill to Establish Reimbursement Deadlines for New Medicaid Program
Lawmakers are eliminating barriers for medical providers to address industry-wide shortage of health workers. SB 132 creates payment requirements and deadlines for managed care entities during the implementation of the new Pathways for Aging program. The legislation also would make it easier for nurses from other countries to be licensed in Indiana and would change requirements for health facility administrators.

EFTER COVID survey data was collected through Danish- or English-language questionnaires created in SurveyXact26, which could be filled out using a PC, tablet, or smartphone. Participants were asked about these symptoms in relation to the last 14 days from when they responded to the follow-up questionnaire. This was done to estimate the absolute effect of SARS-CoV-2 vaccination on long-term symptoms rather than the effect of infection on long term symptoms. Kokrokoo Charities Foundation Gives Third Incubator to Hospital in Volta Region
The Kokrokoo Charities Foundation has donated a third incubator to the Paediatrics and Child Health Department of the Ho Teaching Hospital in the Volta Region. This adds to two previous incubators given to the Hospital by the Foundation in 2018. The incubator adds up to a total of 55 incubators so far donated to various hospitals all over the country.
