The Department of Health and Ageing has failed to show the Primary Health Network model is delivering its objectives, an audit has found. It also found the IT system used to monitor the performance of Australia’s (PHNs) isn’t up to scratch, and calls on Health to implement something that’s fit for purpose. There are currently 29 PHN providers responsible for 31 regions across Australia working across Aboriginal health, population health, workforce, digital health, aged care, and drugs and alcohol.

NSW Health put out an alert this afternoon, saying a Victorian who had the virus flew into Sydney from Melbourne on Tuesday morning, before visiting a cafe, bar and several other buildings in the CBD. The person then returned to Melbourne on a flight early that evening. It said anyone who was on the same flights or in the same place as the person with measles could have been exposed to the virus.
