In pursuing WFH, we have devalued routine and separation of work and life as a mediator of when to switch “on” and “off” In fact, there is psychological security to be found in the routine of work, and the blurring of that distinction may, in fact, create rather than alleviate psychological distress. There is a real danger that our 21st-century aversion to movement with all its attendant health risks may increase. The negotiated provisions offer public servants the chance to work from home
