Cancer Survivor Shares Story of a Novant Health Volunteer
Wyn Pearson was admitted to the Belk Heart and Vascular Institute last August after her heart valve began to fail, which caused her lungs to fill with blood. Twenty-two years before that fateful visit, Pearson spent just about every week in the halls of the Cancer Center at Novant Health’s Midtown location. She did so, not knowing she would need that same support in 2023.

Ramon Garcia - Charged With Indecent Assault
Ramon Garcia allegedly made verbal advances, asking the victim if she was in a relationship. When she arrived, police say she was met by an employee who was later identified as Garcia. Investigators say Garcia had the victim undress, then inappropriately touched her while conducting a pelvic exam. Garcia is also not a licensed nurse, according to police.
