Kaiser Permanente and Denver Health jointly announced a $10 million commitment to help Denver Health address rising costs of uncompensated care at Denver Health. The partnership raised $18.7 million to preserve and improve access to affordable health care and help ease the burden of rising unpaid care costs.

Chicago Measles Vaccine - A Second Dose of the Measles Vaccine
Chicago Department of Public Health said the new policy was necessary because of the continued increase in measles cases among young children at the Halsted Street shelter. The second dose will help protect preschool children until their immunity is fully developed and will also help stop the spread to other children who haven’t received a second dose of the shot. Most of the cases have been associated with the Pilsen migrant shelter, medical advocates say.

A litter of puppies with “health concerns” have been rescued during a raid targeting unlicensed Puppy traders in East Ayrshire
The Scottish SPCA and Police Scotland carried out a joint operation in the Kilmarnock area on Tuesday morning. A litter of puppies were seized from the unlicensed and “low-welfare” puppy trade. They are now receiving veterinary care at one of the SSPCA’s animal rescue and rehoming centres.

PCN Inclusion Health Self-Assessment Tool Relaunched
Self-assessment tool enables PCNs to evaluate themselves against 22 inclusion metrics. These include how they use codes, how inclusion health groups feature in patient satisfaction monitoring and if patients can use a GP practice as a care of address. Once completed, PCN’s receive a ‘completely unique’ guide to help tackle health inequalities. The tool was initially launched in 2021 but has now been updated with new content and resources, Pulse PCN understands.

Personalized Support for Women in Labor and Delivery Supervised training in hospitals provides maternal and neonatal health workers with invaluable real-life labor and delivery experience. The training approach is designed to cascade down from mentors to other health workers, who then train their colleagues. This project was the first collaboration in the Church’s Africa Central Area to address key drivers of maternal and newborn mortality.
