A new rule finalized by the Democratic president's administration will limit these plans to just three months. The plans can only be renewed for a maximum of four months, instead of up to the three years that were allowed under Biden's predecessor, Republican Donald Trump.

State and local leaders broke ceremonial ground on the state's Donahue Behavioral Health Hospital. Costs for the project have ballooned in recent months from inflation, but State Sen. Roger Thompson said the latest estimates are slightly north of $150 million.
