The purpose of the course was to communicate to government employees and contract specialists how different industries view the way the Navy does business. Vineyard Wind is inviting fishermen to apply for compensation if they’ve been impacted by the offshore wind farm. Rhode Island fishermen will have access to $4.2 million, and $3.3 million will be divided between fishermen in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York. The area may have been used by those who target everything from squid, to clams, scallops, lobster and more.

Gov. Ned Lamont felt that a bill he spoke about on Tuesday morning will get the measure to the finish line. As of Tuesday in Connecticut, only companies with 50 or more employees are required to give 40 hours of paid sick time. The bill Lamont pushed would make it mandatory for all businesses regardless of size.
