Taxing Business-to-Business Transactions
Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s two-year budget initially proposed a sales tax on digital services. Taxable digital services would also have included software application services, website hosting and design, data storage and streaming services. But applying the tax to business-to-business transactions is a move that would be potentially “dangerous and harmful” to Virginia tech companies’ competitiveness.

Raleigh Middle School Students Compete in World's Largest Robotics Competition
Raleigh middle school students arrived in Dallas, Texas, on Tuesday afternoon to compete in the largest robotics competition in the world. The 8th graders from Carnage Magnet Middle School won the state robotics championship in February. On Wednesday, Vedhanth, Dhruva, Lashwin and Sathvik will start competing against young robot makers from 50 different countries.

College Protests Continue at USF and University of South Florida
At USF, about 80 to 100 people returned Tuesday, chanting and holding umbrellas and plywood sheets as they created a tight circle. Protesters were given until 5 p.m. to disperse. A fraternity has now gathered in the area to take photos. At least two people are being detained and walked away.

Mower County 4-H, Riverland Community College, Nexus Cooperative, and Austin Community Education have partnered to offer the third annual Agriculture and Food Science Exploration Day on Wednesday, July 10th. This program is for youth in grades 6-9 and is a great opportunity for anyone interested in science, biology, chemistry, engineering, computers, agriculture, mathematics, and food science. At each location, youth will participate in hands-on learning labs, and developing leadership skills.
