MedStar Health Unveiled Curtis National Hand Center
MedStar Health unveiled its newly renovated and expanded Curtis National Hand Center at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital April 24th, during a ribbon cutting celebration centered on philanthropy. The Center is the largest hand center in the world, comprised of 14 surgeons, a skilled hand therapy department, and a leading research division. Of those, an average 1800 patients are admitted with traumatic injuries.

California Department of Public Health Issues Annual Mussel Quarantine
The California Department of Public Health issued its annual shellfish safety warning set to take effect on May 1st. The annual warning applies to all species of mussels and is in effect to protect the public against poisoning that can lead to serious illness. Commercially harvested shellfish in restaurants or from fish markets may be safely consumed.

We Have One Earth - We Can All Make A Difference
