World Malaria Day
World Health Organisation (WHO) says the vaccine rollout seeks to further scale up vaccine deployment in the African region. According to it, Benin, which received 215,900 doses, has added the malaria vaccine to its Expanded Programme on Immunisation. At least 45,000 children are expected to benefit from the 112,000 doses of the available vaccine.

TotalEnergies Reports a 22% Downgrade in Q1 2024
TotalEnergies reported a 22% decline in Q1 2024 adjusted net income to $5.1bn on Friday. Higher refining margins partially offset a significant decrease in natural gas profits. Adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) fell 19% to $11.49bn. Cash flow from operations, excluding working capital, also fell 20% to $5.6bn from the same quarter last year.
