This new figure was announced at World Service Presents, a three-day series of events highlighting the courageous work of journalists around the world. Heatwaves Over India in May
Anuj Thapan, 32, was lodged in a lock-up at Mumbai Police headquarters. The incident took place at around 11 am in the bathroom of the police lock up on the first floor. A police source said that while two other accused in the case had been taken to record statements, Thapan was in cell along with 10 other accused from other cases.

In a study on rats, a team of scientists from across the United States has found that physical activity causes many cellular and molecular changes in all 19 of the organs they studied in the animals. Most studies have focused on a single organ, sex, or time point, and only include one or two data types. The team studied a range of tissues from the animals, such as the heart, brain, and lungs.
