El Nio is what happens when unusually warm surface temperatures in the eastern Pacific Ocean unleash a domino effect on weather patterns right around the globe. This warm spell is followed by a neutral period which could then shift to unusually cold ocean surface temperatures, called La Nia, later this year. The effects of the El Niio depend on the region, with some parts of the world forgoing rain while others flood.

East Link’s initial northeastern terminus is dominated by the Microsoft Campus “Refresh” as the local tech giant surrounds the new station. The new campus will replace the original Microsoft buildings that totaled around 1.2 million square feet in office space. In late 2022, Geekwire reported a timeframe shift for nine of the 17 buildings in the redevelopment. However, the lack of highrise or housing growth cannot be blamed squarely on Microsoft.

TPS Eastern Africa posted a Sh870.87 million net profit for the financial year ended December 2023. The latest profit is a growth from Sh379.69 million posted in the previous year. TPS said its portfolio of 22 hotels, resorts, safari lodges, and camps within the Eastern Africa region regained its footing. Revenue from contracts with customers rose by 48 percent to Sh9.68 billion.
