Chile - The latest attack on police in a region where tensions have simmered
Armed assailants ambushed and killed three police officers in southern Chile. President Gabriel Boric declared three days of national mourning to honour the officers. The officers responded to three false emergency calls and were attacked with heavy-calibre weapons.
