Jean-Pierre Ferland died of natural causes after being hospitalized earlier this year. Born in Montreal on June 24, 1934, Ferland was a prolific artist who produced some 30 albums. He was named an officer of the Order of Canada and a knight of the National Order of Quebec.

Vermont Women’s Fund and Center for Women and Enterprise are pleased to announce grants from the Rise and Thrive campaign totaling $230,000 to women business owners affected by the July 2023 flooding. The Vermont Women's Fund launched the campaign last fall, and with the VT Flood Response & Recovery Fund 2023 of the Vermont Community Foundation raised approximately $400,000.
