William & Mary’s 2024 Ampersand International Art Festival
The 2024 Ampersand International Art Festival will light up from March 18-24 at the Kimball Theatre and other venues on campus and throughout Williamsburg. The festival had a modest beginning in 2007, when the Reves Center for International Studies organized an event called the W&M Global Film Festival. As the festival grew, theater, music, dance and author talks were featured.

5G FWA - The Future of Fixed Wireless Access
5G has yet to put self-driving cars on roads or equip robot surgeons with scalpels, but it has opened residential broadband possibilities in markets around the world. A panel at the MWC Barcelona trade show served up a global perspective on 5G FWA's advances. The panel did, however, offer some insight on the potential of network slicing to help carriers cope with growing FWA traffic.

LIV Golf League Rejects Application for OWGR Accreditation
LIV Golf League has withdrawn its application for recognition from the Official World Golf Ranking. The LIV golf League, now in its third season, had been fighting for OWGR accreditation since July 2022. Only four players are currently ranked in the top 50 in the world.

Urothelial Cancer - Maintenance Avelumab Improves PFS and OS
Results from the US PATRIOT-II trial showed a significant improvement in PFS and OS with avelumab plus best supportive care (BSC) vs BSC alone in patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial cancer who had not progressed on frontline platinum-based chemotherapy. Most patients were White (89.4%), non-Hispanic or Latino (78.1%), and had an ECOG performance status of 0 (42.5%) or 1 (33.1%)

The Parks and Recreation Department announced on Monday that the Beal Slough Disc Golf Course, Pine Lake Road and South 60th Street, is ranked as one of the top courses in the world. The course is 88th in UDisc’s annual World’s Best Disc golf Courses top 100 ranking and is the only Nebraska course in the list.
