The decision in Slopestyle was on Wednesday with the best weather and parking conditions. In the rookies category, 15-year-old Norwegian Fabian Hertzberg impressed with a frontside and backside 1080 on the kicker.

EU Deforestation Regulation Could Change the World of Coffee
The European Deforestation Regulation or EUDR will outlaw sales of products like coffee from December 30, 2024, if companies can't prove they are not linked with deforement. In Peru, collecting information about hundreds of thousands of small farmers is difficult. Brazil, where coffee makes up about a third of total export earnings, is better placed.

La Course des Cafes has returned to the streets of Paris with waiters challenged to deliver a tray of food 2km along a gauntlet. Samy Lamrous was named toast of the town, delivering the perfect trio of croissant, coffee and a glass of water in a winning time of 13 minutes, 30 seconds flat. Having started waitering at 16, she is now 34 and says she cannot imagine any other life for herself.

Shipping Industry to Be Lined Up As Guinea Pig For Global, Mandatory Charge on GHG Emissions
International Maritime Organisation (IMO) – which regulates shipping worldwide – inched closer toward such a levy at talks held in London this week. The United Nations agency plans to finalise the detail of the measure next year, and have it introduced in 2027. Countries including the Marshall Islands earlier submitted a proposal for a minimum emissions charge of US$150 per tonne of CO2-equivalent.
