Bryant Animal Control is asking for the public's help in finding information about an animal cruelty case involving a cat who was killed. According to reports, shortly after 3:00 p.m. on March 25, animal control officers were called with reports of a male tabby cat that looked like it had suffered trauma to its head. After examining the cat they learned that it had been shot in the head by a blowgun dart that was about six inches long.

School board member Joey Hailpern, Finance Committee chair, said the student-to-administrator ratio is being targeted as we look to the cuts that are coming this year. Lindy Jones, 41, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and defacing a firearm, sources say. Jones’ passenger, Guy Rivera, 34, allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the 31-year-old officer in the stomach after Diller approached two men in an illegally parked car. Rivera and Jones were in the gray SUV when Diller told Rivera to get out, police said.
