Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre Registers FIR
The Delhi Police registered a case on Sunday after a complaint by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The complaint states that some doctored videos are being circulated on social media with 'the intent of creating disharmony among communities which is likely to affect public tranquility and public order' The Special Cell has recorded an FIR under the relevant sections of the IPC and the IT Act, they said. More than 200 individuals were taken into custody following protests expressing solidarity with Palestine.
