On the eve of Eidul Azha, prices of vegetables, spices and other food staples have risen manifold across Punjab. Food and Agriculture Organisation’s (FAO) index averaged 118.3 points in March. The February reading was the lowest for the index since February 2021. International food prices have fallen sharply from a record peak in March 2022.
