The U.K. Government Unveiled a 40 percent Corporate Tax Relief for Film and TV Studios

The government of Conservative Party leader Rishi Sunak unveiled a 40 percent corporate tax relief for film and TV studio facilities until 2034. Sunak’s chancellor, or finance minister, Jeremy Hunt made the announcements during his spring budget speech. The move earned praise from entertainment industry leaders who said the new Jurassic World movie would start shooting in the country later this year.
