Stephen Strasburg has not pitched since the 2022 season due to persistent symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome. Strasburg was slated to announce his retirement last fall with a press conference. The Athletic reported at the time that the Nationals altered their original position of wanting to pay him in whole.
