India has a robust regulatory framework for its 548 seafood units, the commerce ministry said on Saturday. It said that all its units are registered with MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) and FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) it also enrols aquafarms to bolster the traceability system of aquaculture products and adhere to national and international regulatory provisions.
