Rishabh Pant has been out of action since December 2022 after sustaining multiple injuries, including one to his right knee which required reconstruction surgery, in a car crash. However, according to BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, Pant remains in contention for selection for the T20 World Cup "if he can keep [wicket]. Over the course of his career, Pant has played 179 T20s, scoring over 4,000 runs at a strike rate of 144.84. In 66
