Alabama Department of Mental Health (ADMH) and Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities (ACDD) are spotlighting the myriad ways in which individuals, both with and without disabilities, unite to create resilient and diverse communities. About 2.5 percent, or 120,000 Alabamians, are either born with or develop a disability. This year’s campaign theme is meant to serve as a catalyst to promote awareness regarding the inclusion and contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities.
