I think that the biggest shift for me was moving from a not-for-profit world to a for-profit model. I’ve been so fortunate throughout my short career to be working with some of the best people to ever do it in terms of repertory film programming, but that’s a lesson that I had to learn for myself. It’s exciting how being sensorially open helps you to keep the spark alive in your relationship with film.
