Water firm profits have almost doubled since 2019, Lib Dems claim

England's water firms made £1.7bn in pre-tax profits in 2022/2023. That was up 82% since 2018/2019. Yorkshire Water saw the biggest profit last year at £723m, the Lib Dems said.
