A day after Election Commissioner Arun Goel resigned from his post, the Opposition Sunday targeted the government, asking whether his surprise stepping down was because of “differences” with it or with Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar. On Sunday, the newly formed state election committee of the Congress “unanimously recommended” that members of the Gandhi family should contest from Amethi and Raebareli Lok Sabha constituencies.
